Fashion & Compassion creates empowerment communities where vulnerable women connect with God, one another and resources are their lives are transformed. We do this by providing part-time, transitional employment making jewelry to women in the empowerment communities we run in Charlotte and Atlanta and with partner empowerment communities in 6 other countries.

Haiti Design Co believes that there is a commonality between the designer, maker, and consumer and that when working together they can lighten each other’s load and bring about lasting positive impact.

BEAUTY FOR ASHES UGANDA

The goal for Beauty for Ashes Uganda is to empower women (especially single mamas and widows) to reach long-term sustainability for their families. We help these mothers to join a cooperative, which works both as a small group for support and encouragement as well as a resource to help them work together towards sustainability. With the understanding that long-term sustainability is a long-term solution, we also offer short-term aid that is thoughtful and helpful without creating systems of dependence.

CARING FOR KORAH

Korah is a community that sits on the outskirts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia next to the Koshe garbage dump. The population of this once small community of lepers has swelled to more than 100,000 people. Many lepers, HIV/AIDS patients, orphans, and widows struggle to survive in this community. Caring for Korah is a ministry that exists to love and serve the poor in Korah Ethiopia. In an area consumed with poverty and hopelessness, our prayer is for the people of Korah to find their value in Christ, not their circumstances.

FREEDOM FIRM

Freedom Firm seeks to eliminate child prostitution in India by providing rescue, restoration, and justice for victims of sex trafficking. We accomplish this by identifying victims and perpetrators of sex trafficking, mobilizing law enforcement agencies to rescue victims and arrest perpetrators, assisting the legal system during prosecution, and enabling rescued girls to engage in effective rehabilitation. We believe we can accomplish this vision with such excellence that eventually there will be no need for Freedom Firm.

MERCY HOUSE GLOBAL

Mercy House Global exists to engage, empower and disciple women around the globe in Jesus’ name. MHG funds two residential maternity homes in Kenya for “at risk” pregnant teens.  MHG also supports 41 nonprofits in 25 countries by helping these organizations sell products that employ women artisans through Fair Trade Friday

No.41 employs women, earning a sustainable income, who donate 100% of the profits from the sale of their items to fund a feeding program at a local school. A hot, healthy lunch, daily, ensures that the nearly 1,200 students are able to get a solid education and move confidently into whatever the future holds for them.
